That's just because there is no preferable alternative. If an election were called tomorrow, there would be a very low turn-out because people object to Blair but don't want to vote tory. I believe Blair would still scrape through.

Btw, Yes I think he should stand down.

i heard through the grapevine that hes going to step down as PM cz his daughter tried to kill herself...
heard it from a friend of a friend of a friend whose dad is jon snow..
