Just making this in advance to the current Yr10 2022-23 thread! As far as I know there isn't one for this?

I take English lit and lang, maths, triple science, music, fine art, history and Chinese mandarin

So I can help with these subjects but any other is pretty much the same

maths (Edexcel)
further maths (AQA)
eng lit/lang (AQA)
combined science (Edexcel)
RS (AQA)

drama (Eduqas)
french (AQA)
(thats 11 gcses aha, counting science as two :eek:

)

I am NOT excited for exams but i'm sure they'll be over before we know it, passage of time and allat.

I am predicted 9s and 8s but i will be very happy as long as i pass them icl

After I'm probably going to my local sixth form to do maths, further maths, philosophy and economics at a-level!

OH and I'm doing Macbeth (7/10), Lord of the Flies (6/10) and FRANKENSTEIN (1000/10 :heart:

I am not excited for exams :frown:

I am aiming for 7+ for everything but happy with 6+ and I am hoping to do Psychology, English Literature and Geography (or History) at A Level.

Alrighty I do a Christmas Carol, macbeth and inspector calls along with power and conflict as my poems x

I think the choices my school did isn't bad but personally I found romeo and juilet easier then macbeth to annotatate 😂 but both are good

I can help ppl who do jekyll and Hyde or romeo and juilet as I have learnt these as gcse texts but they aren't the ones my school is doing

Hi, i am going into year 11 in a week's time and its safe to say that i am not excited in the least. Anyway here are all the subjects i do:

TRIPLE SCIENCE (AQA)-----> bio-7/ chem- 7/phy- 8
MATHS(AQA)------------>6
ENGLISH LANG AND LIT( AQA)---------->lang-8/lit- 7
GEOGRAPHY(AQA)-------> 9
PSYCHOLOGY(AQA)----------> 8
STATISTICS ( PEARSON EDEXCEL)---------> 6

i am not excited for the exams
i am aiming for 8s and 9s and currently am at 7s,8s,9s( mentioned my current predicted grades above ) except in math and stats where i lack (grade 6)
after gcses i plan on taking up biology, chemistry and math or physics a-level at my local college.
also for english i do : MACBETH , CHRISTMAS CAROL, INSPECTOR CALLS AND POWER AND CONFLICT POETRY

i am also willing to help any fellow gcse student if they need resources or advice :smile:

Need help with PE GCSE. Has to be weakest subject . Like is there any website that provides free exam style topic questions that I can use to revise each topic for it and stregthen . Swear its the only GCSE that has no specific website that offers that.

Hi everyone
I'm going to year 11 on Wednesday and I'm not looking forward to it.
The subjects I am doing :
English lit and lang - wjec eduqas
Maths - edexcel
Geography- aqa
Spanish - aqa
Biology - aqa
Chemistry - aqa
Physics- aqa
Religious studies - ( I'm not sure about the exam board but I think it's edexcel or wjec )

My grades are currently at 6 - 9. I am hoping for 7s and above but I will be happy with 6s.

For alevls I hope to do biology chemistry and possibly psychology.

For english lit I am doing A Christmas Carol, Othello and Inspector Calls and poetry. If any one has any tips for how to revise for english lit can you please give them to me.

I hope everyone has a good year and get the grades you want.

Im doing biology, physics, chemistry, english, religion, sociology, history, art and maths (all aqa except for maths which is edexcel)
I am not excited for exams but I'm excited to finish them hehe
Im aiming for 7s and above
I have no clue what to do after gcses( probably go six form)

My school is doing macbeth (I hate Shakespeare) jekyll and hyde(so interesting I like it) inspector calls ( MY FAV)

+i think PHYSICS AND MATHS TUTOR is the best website for revising any science subject
It has questions mind maps flashcards.etc

my friend does pe gcse and she normally just googles GCSE pe past papers and a lot of past paper questions and website with pe GCSE questions come up. hope that helps.

HONESTLY, IM NOT READY FOR YEAR 11, I wish it would go faster :frown:

It's my first day today and I already hate it..... sob I'm just aiming for passes because of my major anxiety issues. Although I would like to try.. but I;m not sure how lmao

my best revision techniques is probably cornell notes along with flashcards on my ipad. It's the best 👍

I'm doing maths, further maths, physics, chem, lit & lang and french Edexcel.
Psychology, AQA
Computer science, Cambridge.

I also changed a subject for history this year which I'm gonna do in 1 year instead of 2 so if anyone has any revision websites/notes etc pls lmk!!!

- aqa food preparation and nutrition

I was petrified for year eleven and I already hate it so much 😭
My revision methods are just making neat lists and reading over them - it’s a bit time consuming but I find this is the best way for me. If not then I’ll use websites like cognito (sciences), activelearn (spanish), mathswatch (maths), spark notes (english lit), cool geography (geography) and seneca for most subjects
Hope this helps and I should be able to help with any of the subjects i’m taking except english literature or language bc i’m really bad at them xx

I am hoping to do Economics , Maths and further maths for A/L's.

We did Inspector calls, Macbeth and now we have started Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

I had predicted grades at the end of year 10 as follows:

English language - 7

English Literature - 7

Maths - 8

Biology - 8

Chemistry - 8

Physics - 7

Economics - 8

French - 6

Geography - 7

We have a mock test in November so, I am aiming to get 8's and 9's.

I am also doing past papers from Physics and Maths Tutor

I also use Save My Exams, BBC Bitesize and StudyMind.
